About the data and date conversion
Miti is an independent tool made by Chu for people who work with Nepal’s Bikram Sambat and Gregorian dates. It is not a government, passport or visa service.
Data and supported years
The converter uses the MIT-licensed month-length table from nepali-date-converter 3.4.0. Conversion counts civil days from BS 2000-01-01 / AD 1943-04-14 using UTC, independent of your device’s time zone. Supported dates are BS 2000-01-01 through BS 2090-12-30, equivalent to AD 1943-04-14 through AD 2034-04-13. Invalid dates are rejected instead of being moved into the next month.
What was checked
Thirty date pairs from public government records, covering BS 2081–2083 (AD 2024–2026), are saved as automated tests in both directions. Twenty-nine pairs come from SEBON’s publication records. One comes from a Department of Roads notice with an explicit BS/AD pair. These checks do not certify every supported year.
A source discrepancy was reviewed: SEBON’s MFS listing for BS 2081-03-31 has a publication date of 2024-07-16. The explicit Roads notice and SEBON’s debenture listing both confirm the conversion as 2024-07-15. A document’s upload date can differ from the date in its title.
Today and important documents
Today uses Asia/Kathmandu, including Nepal’s UTC+05:45 offset, regardless of where your device is located. For passports, birth records and official applications, compare results with the original document. Historical and future dates have not been individually verified against official calendars.
